Synergy of Risks

I’ve mentioned before that I manage risks at work.  We work pretty hard to catalog all the risks our company faces.  One thing most companies don’t do however, is look at what happens when multiple risks occur at the same time.

For example, let’s say you’re a mother with a teenage daughter and a job.  One risk you might face is your teenage daughter does something stupid.  Another might be that you have problems at work.

What happens when they both happen at the same time?

Answer

Synergy…it’ll get you.

So does YOUR company look at what happens when multiple risks happen at the same time… or no?
