We Kill What We Don’t Want

I had a previous post that talked about people who would be willing to abort a kid who might potentially be obese. A commenter said this, incredulously:
“Liberals fight for abortion rights so people can kill potentially fat kids? Are you kidding?”
Well, Steve, no, I’m not kidding. Not only would 11% of parents abort a potentially obese child, they would ask a doctor to STOP RESUSCITATION of an already living child. And then sue them when they don’t.
I admit that I don’t know this couple or what they’re going through, but all the same, I can’t imagine how patient God must be.

Yeah… I might not know what they are “going through” either… but I’m going to be very bold and state plainly that I still think it’s sick and absolutely horrid that anyone would do such a thing. I would NEVER kill my child.
I love my children. It is my hope that they will never have to battle weight problems… but if they do… I will help them manage it through proper diet and an active lifestyle… I will always love my children no matter how big or small they are! I love my children unceasingly… and nothing… not even a weight problem… will ever cause me to stop loving my children. Ever.
