You can see an interactive map of the generic term people use for soft drinks (pop, soda, etc) here (thanks to Tyler at Marginal Revolution). What do you call it?

Dude, I’ve been wondering if I was out there in left field for calling it “Soda”. When I moved here to Utah, everyone called the dang stuff “Paaaaahhhhp”

I couldn’t stand hearing it .

Funny. We call it “juice” at our house thanks to Sam:) But pre-toddler, I always said “Soda” with a short mid-western “o”. Ah, the good ol’ days!
